NBRC Grant Resolution - The Northern Border Regional Commission provides Federal grants of up to $500,000 to eligible infrastructure projects that are located in qualified counties within Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York. The NRBC is required to allocate 50% of its total available funds to projects located within “distressed” designated counties. Distressed counties are determined to have “high rates of poverty, unemployment, or outmigration” and “are the most severely and persistently economic distressed and underdeveloped”. NBRC funds will match up to 80% of the qualified project costs for distressed counties. Jefferson County is designated as a distressed county. Letters of Intent are due to the NBRC by April 30, 2017, and the full application is due by June 2, 2017. All projects awarded in 2017 must be completed by September 30, 2020. If the Town Board decides to continue with the TMB sewer project, a resolution by the Town Board is required for the full application.
Opening of Mowing Bids - The Town Board will open the mowing bids and decide on a mowing contractor for the summer.
