LETTER FROM THE LYME LAKERS SOCCER TEAM REQUESTING INSURANCE COVERAGE UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE LYME YOUTH COMMISSION - This letter is a request for the Town of Lyme to have the Lyme Lakers Soccer Teams insured and added under the Lyme Youth Commission auspices again this year. This is required for us to be able to use the Lyme Central School (Gymnasium & Facilities) and would be helpful while using the Town of Lyme Fields. Last year was such a success that our 1 team has grown to 4 teams. We now have 36 children who have signed up and will be playing for our teams. We have two U8 teams and two U10 teams. I have made a point to limit our participants to Town of Lyme Residents or Land owners as best as possible. Currently 35 are residents with 1 child from a neighboring community of Cape Vincent in order to provide enough players of the correct gender for each team. This one child's father grew up in Lyme and still has multiple family members living in the Town of Lyme i.e.. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. In the future I will continue to try to limit children to the best of my ability to the Town of Lyme however, adding her has benefited the group as a whole. Without the support of the Town of Lyme we will be unable to use the school. This will greatly impact our ability to practice as field time at the YMCA is very limited and expensive for us as coaches. The Youth Commission as in the past requires the Town list us as insured and they will provide us Gym time according to availability through their organization.
Proposed Sub Division Law - ZEO/CEO Jim Millington has suggested to the Town Board the need for a Sub Division Law to be enacted in the Town of Lyme. The Board will discuss this option. Two laws from neighboring municipalities have been submitted for the Board to review.
WILSON MONUMENT ESTIMATE - The Board has received an estimate for repairs at the TMB Cemetery. The board will discuss the options.
