PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Lyme shall conduct a public hearing on December 9, 2020 at the Chaumont Fire Hall located at 11385 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, NY, Jefferson County, at 6:30 p.m. to consider the adoption of a Local Law to establish a moratorium for a period of six (6) months on applications and/or construction of Recreational Vehicle Developments, Campgrounds and Marinas in the Town of Lyme to permit the Town Board of the Town of Lyme sufficient time to conduct a review of the current laws and enact revisions if deemed appropriate.
A full text of the local law is available on the Town’s website and at the Town Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. Written comments may be submitted to the Town Board regarding the proposed moratorium anytime from the date of this notice until the time of the hearing, either by mail or by delivering to the drop box at the Clerk’s office. The Town of Lyme will hold a public hearing on November 5, 2020 at 6:45 PM at the Town Municipal Building located at 12175 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, NY for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Town of Lyme’s current Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project: #673i221-17 Town of Lyme Flood Recovery Program; $215,468.00. The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR), and provides resources to eligible local governments for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The hearing will provide further information about the progress of the ongoing CDBG project. Comments related to the effectiveness of administration of the CDBG project will also be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart 1 of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
