Notice to Bidders- Water Facility Construction

The Town of Lyme invites the submission of bid proposals to demolish and reconstruct the 10’ x 12’ Water Facility Building, located by the tennis courts on Old Town Springs Road in the Village of Chaumont. A complete list of details is available at the Town Clerk’s Office, 12175 NYS Rt. 12E, Chaumont, NY; mailed to PO Box 66, Chaumont, NY 13622.

Bid proposals will be received until 4:00 p.m. on November 10, 2020 at the Town Clerk’s Office or by emailing marshajbarton@gmail.com.  Bids will be reviewed at the November 11, 2020 Regular Monthly Meeting of the Town Board at 6:30 p.m. at 12175 NYS Rt. 12E, Chaumont, NY.  Please contact Marsha Barton at 315-649-2387 with any questions.  The Town of Lyme reserves the right to reject any and all bids.  Any bids may be withdrawn without prejudice prior to the official bid submission time or any publicized postponement thereof.  “This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer.”

Public Notice- Town of Lyme Residents
The Town of Lyme, Town Board will be holding Budget Work Sessions in preparation of the Town Budget for the year 2021. The meetings will take place on Monday October 12th, October 19th, and October 26st, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Municipal Offices located at 12175 NYS RT 12E, Chaumont, NY. Any other business that may come before the Board will follow.

​The Town of Lyme will hold a public hearing on November 5, 2020 at 6:45 PM at the Town Municipal Building located at 12175 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, NY for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Town of Lyme’s current Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project: #673i221-17 Town of Lyme Flood Recovery Program; $215,468.00.  The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR), and provides resources to eligible local governments for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The hearing will provide further information about the progress of the ongoing CDBG project.  Comments related to the effectiveness of administration of the CDBG project will also be received at this time.  The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart 1 of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
 
The Lyme Municipal Building is accessible to persons with disabilities.  If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact Ariana Henderson, Town Clerk, at 315-649-2788, at least one week in advance of the hearing date to make necessary arrangements.  Written comments may also be submitted to the Town Clerk by mail to PO Box 66, Chaumont, NY 13622, until November 2, 2020.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the preliminary budget for the Town of Lyme for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2021 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk at 12175, NYS RT 12E Chaumont, NY where it is available for inspection by any interested person during normal business hours, Monday thru Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Lyme will meet and hold a Public Hearing thereon at the Municipal Office at 6:30 p.m. Thursday November 5, 2020 and that at such hearing any such person may be heard in favor of or against any item or against any item or items therein contained. Any other business that may come before the Board will follow. Pursuant to Section 112 of the Town Law the proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are hereby specified are as follows;
