Public Hearing STRU and Cannabis

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
 
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Lyme shall conduct two public hearings on September 8, 2021 at the Town Offices, 12175 NYS Route 12E,  Chaumont, NY, Jefferson County, to consider the adoption of  two local laws as follows:
 
  1. At 6:15 p.m., to consider a local law to establish regulations for the operation of Short Term Rentals.
  2. At 6:25 p.m. or directly after the close of the first hearing, to consider a local law opting out of licensing and establishing retail cannabis dispensaries and/or on-site cannabis consumption establishments within the Town of Lyme, but outside the corporate limit of the Village of Chaumont.
 
 The regular meeting of the Town Board shall resume after the close of the second hearing.
 
A full text of the local laws are available on the Town’s website and at the Town Clerk’s Office during normal business hours.  All persons wishing to be heard on this matter should be present at the place, time and date aforestated or have submitted written comments in advance.  Any persons requiring special accommodations to attend or participate in such hearings should notify the Town Clerk at least three (3) business days prior to the meeting.
